at the Department of Mechanical Engineering
What to expect
You will teach on our Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes at the Department of Mechanical Engineering – we need you mainly in the basic subjects of mechanical engineering.
You will deliver your courses at the sites of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Steinfurt and Beckum).
Your responsibilities will include the independent delivery of lectures, practical sessions and laboratory classes, as well as the supervision of student projects, e.g. in international competitions.
You will also support the team in the area of teaching and be prepared to play an active role in university governance.
Last but not least, you will supervise and advise our students, especially during the induction period.
You have at least a Master's degree in engineering, mathematics or science, or a comparable qualification.
You also have at least two years of professional experience outside academia.
You are interested in linking interdisciplinary technological aspects.
You also have experience in selected applications in the above areas.
You have a very good command of German and a good command of English, and ideally some experience in teaching.
You are characterised by a willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.

You can look forward to permanent employment (24 course hours per week per semester, 100%) as a Lecturer with Specific Duties, to start as soon as possible.
For this responsible assignment, we offer you remuneration over and above the standard salary up to pay scale (TV-L) 13 (Master’s) with the prospect of pay scale 14 (doctorate), dependent on your personal qualifications and professional experience.
