You will teach the foundations of building physics in the department’s Bachelor’s programmes.
You will also further develop teaching in areas such as green and resource-efficient construction or energy efficiency.
In the Master’s programmes, you will develop your own areas of focus, such as building simulation or building services engineering.
Besides having an interest in the innovative development of teaching, you will also be expected to contribute to other cooperative degree programmes offered by the department, especially the programme in Construction in Existing Contexts.
You will be responsible for managing and further developing the department’s own Building Physics Laboratory and carrying out applied research projects in the field of building physics.
Last but not least, you will take on responsibilities in the self-government of the university and make a constructive contribution to cooperative interaction at the department.
Your expertise is based on completion of a degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a similar subject focusing on Building Physics, and a recognised doctorate.
You have several years of professional practical experience in building physics.
You have experience teaching in higher education, and are prepared to teach and publish in both German and English.
You have successfully completed research projects and performed the associated scientific work in the field of building physics, and have an extensive network of industry partners.
You demonstrate readiness to collaborate on an interdisciplinary basis in the areas of research and teaching.
A permanent W2 professorship on civil servant conditions will enable you to make a valuable contribution to teaching, research and university management.
