at the Department of Food · Nutrition · Facilities

What to expect

  • Focusing on the “use of digital media in the food and health sectors” (e.g. social media, digital health applications, apps, etc.), you will teach at the Department of Food · Nutrition · Facilities (at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level).
  • You will be responsible for supervising the IT room, including giving expert advice on the nutrition software provided (Prodi, Ebis).
  • We value your commitment to helping us develop our range of courses and to promoting continuous process improvement.
  • You will be there to provide dedicated advice and support to your students.
  • You will also independently supervise project work, Bachelor’s theses and Master’s theses in the designated areas of specialisation.

Your background

  • Your skill set includes a university degree (Master’s or an equivalent level) in Home Economics & Nutrition Science or Nutrition Science.
  • You also have several years of practical experience (a minimum of 2 years) in the designated core area of teaching.
  • We expect you to have a sound knowledge or keen interest in digitalisation and/or the use of social media in nutrition.
  • Good written and spoken English, as well as international publications, would be valuable assets.
  • You enjoy sharing knowledge and getting young people excited about your subject area.

We offer you

  • You can look forward to permanent employment as a Lecturer with Specific Duties with a teaching load of 12 hours per week per semester (50%), with an expected starting as soon as possible.
  • For this responsible assignment, we offer you remuneration over and above the standard salary up to pay scale (TV-L) 12 or 13, dependent on your personal qualifications and professional experience.
