Professorship for “Business Informatics, focusing on Distributed Systems” at Münster School of Business
What to expect:
You will teach on Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at Münster School of Business, focusing especially on the area of Business Informatics.
In the process, you will develop various practice-oriented courses and forms of teaching.
It is second nature for you to deliver courses involving digital technology.
By delivering courses in English, you will support the university’s internationalisation strategy.
Also on your agenda: close cooperation with companies, the initiation and supervision of externally funded projects, and the accompaniment of cooperative doctorates.
We also expect you to publish your research results.
You have an above-average doctorate and research experience in the relevant field.
You have extensive professional experience in the field of Distributed Systems, particularly with regard to Big Data, DevOps and cloud-native applications.
You are able to teach students the conceptual design, development and operation of distributed systems (based on current technologies) as well as the foundations of distributed architectures, mechanisms and algorithms.
You are also capable of covering other areas of Business Informatics (e.g. Algorithms and Data Structures, Databases, Computer Networks, IT Security, Programming Basics and Web Development).
