“Business Informatics, focusing on Distributed Systems”

What to expect:
- You will teach on Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at Münster School of Business, focusing especially on the area of Business Informatics.
- In the process, you will develop various practice-oriented courses and forms of teaching.
- It is second nature for you to deliver courses involving digital technology.
- By delivering courses in English, you will support the university’s internationalisation strategy.
- Also on your agenda: close cooperation with companies, the initiation and supervision of externally funded projects, and the accompaniment of cooperative doctorates.
- We also expect you to publish your research results.
Your background:
- You have an above-average doctorate and research experience in the relevant field.
- You have extensive professional experience in the field of Distributed Systems, particularly with regard to Big Data, DevOps and cloud-native applications.
- You are able to teach students the conceptual design, development and operation of distributed systems (based on current technologies) as well as the foundations of distributed architectures, mechanisms and algorithms.
- You are also capable of covering other areas of Business Informatics (e.g. Algorithms and Data Structures, Databases, Computer Networks, IT Security, Programming Basics and Web Development).
