Research/Teaching Assistant for “Humanitarian Relief /
International Food Security” (f/m/d)
at the Centre of Competence for Humanitarian Relief
What to expect:
Your main area of work will be the organisation, implementation and support of teaching and training in the field of Humanitarian Relief / International Food Security, especially at the Department of Food • Nutrition • Facilities.
You will provide individual support to students in the context of internships, project work and final theses.
In addition, you will be responsible for participating in and coordinating cooperation with external partners (especially the German Red Cross and the Academy for Humanitarian Action).
You will also be involved in internal projects, particularly in the further development of the competence centre and in research projects.
In addition, you will take on cross-functional tasks in administration and accounting.
Your expertise is underpinned by a Master’s degree in Nutrition Science / Home Economics & Nutrition Science or related disciplines such as Medicine, Public Health or Health Sciences.
You enjoy working intensively with students. You have no problem delivering courses in the field of Humanitarian Relief / International Food Security in both German and English in a creative and confident manner.
Ideally, you have some experience in the area of humanitarian relief / development cooperation (e.g. in the form of periods abroad or work in relevant organisations).
You also have strong communication skills, are able to make good use of your organisational talent, and enjoy taking on responsibility.
We offer you:
A part-time position (50%, corresponding to 19 hours and 55 minutes per week) awaits you for a fixed term until 31 December 2023.
We very much appreciate your commitment, which is why you will receive a salary on pay scale 13 TV-L.
