“Social Work in Social Spaces” at the Department of Social Work
What to expect
You will teach on our Bachelor and Master’s programmes at the Department of Social Work.
Your teaching and research activities will ideally focus on topics of social work related to social space.
You enjoy contributing your expertise from both professional and academic work to interdisciplinary contexts.
You will also contribute to self-government at the department and to the further development of degree programmes, and will be involved in academic continuing education.
It is quite natural for you to deliver courses involving digital technology, possibly also in English.
Your expertise is underpinned by a degree in Social Work (or a comparable qualification) and an above-average doctorate.
You also have relevant professional experience and competence to act in social work in social spaces.
You are familiar with contemporary discourse, theories, concepts and methods related to social space (e.g. urban/district development, community work, neighbourhood work, community organising, social space and network analysis) as well as their significance for social work.
In particular, you have dealt in depth with aspects of networking, and the importance of civic engagement in the social space.
Ideally, you have extensive experience in teaching, and are familiar with applying for external funding and collaborating in research projects.
Your portfolio is complemented by a network of partners from the field.
