What to expect:
You will enthusiastically represent the aforementioned subject area in teaching – primarily in our Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes – and in research.
Your commitment to communicating knowledge will enable you to equip your students with a strong foundation for a wide range of roles in industry or public research.
Besides teaching, you will be able to continuously advance your research at our university – excellently equipped laboratories and research infrastructure are available to you for this purpose.
Last but not least, you will play an active role in university self-government.
Your expertise is based on a university degree in physics or a comparable subject area, followed by a recognised doctorate.
You also have experience working in industry – ideally in the field of developing imaging optical systems, optical metrology, quantum optics or optical materials.
Issues related to teaching methodology motivate you. Previous experience in higher education teaching would be advantageous.
Expertise in the acquisition and implementation of research projects and externally funded projects would also be an asset; in any case, you have a strong interest in this matter.
You will able to teach your classes in both German and English with the same degree of confidence.
